NETACTIVE

There is a function called NETACTIVE that pops up every now and then at my location. NETACTIVE, is an APRS object that is generated when someone sends messages on the APRS network. If you click on the NETACTIVE icon you will see in the comments field, the call signs of the stations who are chatting to each other. Hence the name, NETACTIVE. This can be a handy tool, if you are mobile or at home and you want to send a message to somebody who you know is on line and could answer you. To see what happens, open you message screen and send a hello to VK3TBN-10 and you should see the NETACTIVE icon pop up with your call in it!
