UI-View is by far the easiest and most popular APRS Client Application available and is the recommended APRS Client.

The instructions and settings here are the basic requirements required to enable UI-View to run effectively in the APRS VHF & UHF Networks.

Installation

You can download UI-View V2.03 from the UI-View Web site. There is also a lot of Maps and other UI-View Add-Ons and information available at the UI-View site.

UI-View requires a Registration Key which you can obtain from www.apritch.myby.co.uk

Note: Registration is only available to Licensed Amateurs.

Installation of UI-View is very easy, run the 32full203.exe self install file and follow the prompts.

Next you will need to install your maps. You can download maps from this site. Additional maps are available from the UI-View web site. (When you become familiar with UI-View you can make your own maps. See UI-View Help for details)

Unzip the map files and copy them into the UI-View  Maps directory which is normally located at C:\Program Files\Peek Systems\UI-View32\Maps

After you've installed your selection of maps run UI-View and read the Help Information. You can get a lot of assistance by browsing UI-View's good easy to understand Help.
